Oregon RAIN Expands Regional Support with Addition of David Youngentob

Youngentob to serve as Coastal Venture Catalyst for Mid-Coast Region

Oregon RAIN (Regional Accelerator & Innovation Network) welcomes David Youngentob to the RAIN family as Coastal Venture Catalyst for the Mid-Coast region beginning November 1, 2016. The new Coastal Venture Catalyst position greatly expands the strength of RAIN’s network and resources available to entrepreneurs in and around Florence and up through Lincoln City.

As Coastal Venture Catalyst for RAIN, Youngentob will serve entrepreneurs on the Mid-Coast to ensure companies have the resources they need to grow and thrive while remaining headquartered in Oregon, creating local jobs and local dollars. The cornerstone of Youngentob’s work, and of RAIN, is identifying what challenges business growth on a case-by-case basis and overcoming those issues by connecting entrepreneurs with resources through RAIN’s entrepreneurial ecosystem – an expansive network of mentors and investors.

“The Mid-Coast region is ripe with potential, flush with talented individuals, ideas and entrepreneurs who just need the right connection to take off,” said David Youngentob, Coastal Venture Catalyst for Oregon RAIN. “I will lead that connection, helping entrepreneurs overcome challenges by connecting them to the right resources at the right time, whatever the solution, the end goal is always the same – ensuring companies have the resources they need to thrive and bring wealth and jobs to Oregon.”

Youngentob previously served as Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at FertiLab where he worked to support startup companies through their earliest, and most challenging, stages of business – increasing their rate of advancement towards critical milestones and increasing the number of growing and viable businesses in the region. This work included team formation, early business model development, first product launch, initial sales, and hiring their first employees. During his tenure at FertiLab he grew the organization from a co-working and event space to a full-service hub for early-stage entrepreneurship and innovation.

Oregon RAIN leverages community, university and business to create an ecosystem of resources and mentoring for entrepreneurs. In turn, these entrepreneurs are able to transform ideas into high impact, innovative, traded sector companies that are committed to growing the in region. RAIN realizes the vision of innovation-based economic growth through the application of real action and resources to support entrepreneurs in the region.

If you are an entrepreneur, a past entrepreneur interested in mentoring, an investor, or someone who wants to see new companies thrive on Oregon’s Mid-Coast, David Youngentob looks forward to meeting you, He can be reached at [email protected].
