Jim Coonan Leaves RAIN well positioned for future success

Jim-squareA word from Jim Coonan as he passes the torch to Marc Manley:

The strength of RAIN is the collaborative nature of it mission. RAIN could not be successful without the combined contributions of our two research universities, OSU and UO, community colleges, regional political leaders, economic development entities, foundations, private businesses, non-profit partners like FertiLab, RAIN staff and volunteers. Thank-you all!

I also want to give acknowledgment to our founding Mayors, Kitty Piercy of Eugene and Julie Manning, former Mayor of Corvallis. It should also be noted that RAIN would not be the entity it is today without the founding support of the Governor’s Regional Solutions team and my friend Jackie Mikalonis, Regional Solutions Coordinator. I am also appreciative of the strong leadership and support of Senator Lee Beyer and Representative Nancy Nathanson. It is a remarkable combination of people dedicated to our customer – the entrepreneur. It has been an exciting three years with more to come. Thank-you for allowing me to be a part of this important and impactful organization. RAIN is in good hands with Marc Manley our incoming director who I am excited to have join the RAIN team—Welcome Marc!
