Oregon RAIN benefits from its strong partnerships with the cities of Corvallis, Eugene, and Springfield as well as Lane County, Corvallis Benton County Economc Development Office, and Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Eugene Area Chamber provides offices for RAIN Eugene and is joined by the other RAIN partners to help link accelerator entrepreneurs at Oregon State, University of Oregon, and in the local communities to chamber members and others in the region who can provide resources, networking opportunities, and counsel.
Former Corvallis Mayor Julie Manning and Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy are the original co-conveners of RAIN, as part of the State of Oregon’s Regional Solutions network.
In collaboration with Oregon State University, University of Oregon, and Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, they have come together as partners to leverage the region’s resources to support entrepreneurs and startup companies. Through their leadership, the communities and universities are committed to connect businesses in each accelerator with the available public and private resources and infrastructure necessary for them to be successful, regardless of where the entrepreneur resides in the region.
